Over the past year, I've been able to reflect on the impact my memories have held on my life. Being able to explore my past and my family past in greater depth has helped me hold much more appreciation for it. In my piece, I chose to represent the heat of a summer night in the poorer, more rural areas of Europe, as represented by the bright hot orange hues in the piece.
