Self-Portrait

Originally, my intent with this artwork was purely for experimenting with materials and extreme lighting. While working on this piece, the meaning slowly evolved. The bright light that I am clinging to represents the people and memories that I treasure. As the saying goes, these people and memories are the light of my life. The blending of the light into the figure shows the impact that they have on my life, shaping who I am as a person today.
