Train Ride
Willa Kanter ‘26
This piece depicts me on the train with two of my friends. I used light mark making and a light watercolor wash to create a heavenly, joyful atmosphere. Thus, conveying the sense of delight when hanging out with those close to you.
BALLERINA SERIES003
Marcia Marichal Del Pozo ‘25
This piece was heavily inspired by the mono-printing artist himself: Edgar Degas and his ballerinas. I decided to paint these ballerinas because apart from the fact it was once a dream of mine, they're delicate, they know their every move, they don't "lose their heads," but it's also a gritty and laborious talent that you truly have to adore and devote time to. It exhibits, among the other two pieces it pairs with, feminine reflection: it's the delicate combination of perfection, silence, and amusement.
