This piece represents my cousin and his very carefree nature. Although all my family is Jamaican, my cousin is the only family member who adopts Rastafarian beliefs, which is represented in the colors in this piece. The words written in the background are also an original quote from him

My inspiration for this piece was the togetherness of students in crafting pieces of art from paper. The Asian Cultural Society held an open mic night with an origami table off to the side. I liked the way the paper had diverse patterns, and the students expressed themselves with their hand-folded creations.
